About Dr. Rashida Jones

Dr. Rashida Alisha Jones, Psy.D., LCP received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia in 2002. She obtained her Masters and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from Regent University in 2007 and 2009 respectively. In 2012, Dr. Jones earned an Advanced Intercultural Management Certificate from the University of Notre Dame. She used that training to serve on the Diversity Council for the Virginia Department of Corrections for several years. She went on to develop programs to assist ex-offenders successfully transition into the community, as well as to design a program to help teachers working in urban areas enhance cultural sensitivity and applicability when teaching children of color.

Dr. Jones has a long history of working with forensic psychiatric populations in the Eastern Virginia area from her time working for the Department of Corrections and Eastern State Hospital. She is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist working in private practice serving children, families, adults and veterans. Dr. Jones has also held several leadership positions with The Association of Black Psychologists and is currently a part of the National Ethics Committee.

Dr. Jones’ mission is to help organizations, communities, families and individuals flourish and achieve lasting success through her company Catalyst Consulting Associates, LLC.  She evaluates and develops programs to enhance productivity, performance, motivation and strategic goals within organizations. Additionally, she provides executive coaching, leadership development, empowerment seminars, wellness clinics, company culture assessments and optimal life-mapping strategies.  

When Dr. Jones is not counseling or attending speaking engagements, she enjoys traveling, politics, enjoying time outdoors and spending time with her two sons.
